Hotel Akureyri Dynheimar is a quirky gem in the story of Iceland’s architecture.
The building’s original name was “Lón”. The building was Iceland’s first movie theatre. Later it was
purchased by “Geysir” an established men’s choir from Akureyri as a practice and clubhouse.
in the ’80s became the get-together of Akureyri’s youth.

Hotel Akureyri Skjaldborg is one of Akureyri’s most dignified buildings.
Built in 1924 by Akureyri’s Good-templars. A social group devoted to sobriety.
The building was later transformed into a printing factory where some of Iceland’s most important literature.

Hotel Akureyri residence is one of Akureyri’s most dignified buildings. Located a stones throw from the town’s center, overlooking the harbour area and fjord.
The spacious and classically decorated villa can host up to 17 people in bedrooms, but is also available for smaller groups.

The majority of the house includes two balconies, 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms a fully equipped kitchen, and a private entrance.
